The Bissell 47r5 is a good vacuum that does exactly what it is supposed to. It is small and powerful. The long cord makes it useful for a variety of jobs, e.g., cleaning car interiors. For years I've used various handheld vacs because of their supposed convenience. With the 47R5 you don't have to worry about having only a few minutes of charge, and replacing the expensive rechargeable batteries periodically.

2nd Customer Review : Super sucker!
This little vac replaced a more expensive cordless vac I had purchased last year. This Bissell is twice as strong as the cordless, and also doesn't run out of battery power after just 5 minutes either! The default soft rubber nubby attachment works great at picking up pet hair off furniture or fluffing up carpeting. A quick change to the hose and crevice tool allows you to reach edges and corners to finish up. A nice long electric cord let's me vacuum a staircase or an RV without switching plug outlets. I also like the heavy duty filter that's included. Great unit!

I am sick and tired of cordless vacuum batteries losing power after a short time, and running out of power before my vacuuming is done. After much searching I found this corded machine at Amazon for less money than most useless cordless vacs. It really out powers any cordless vac I have ever seen, is quieter than them, and has a much smoother sound. The extension hose makes it very useful for cleaning in corners and other tight spots, especially in cars, and the electrical cord is long enough to reach everything in one room without using an extension cord.
