I have an Electrolux Oxygen canister vacuum and this tool works amazingly well and works with my machine. And it does an outstanding job cleaning up my cat's hair that she leaves on the furniture.
BTW, a couple of questions about this working on the Electrolux canisters and it does work on my three/four year old Oxygen machine (the orange grey and white colored one)

2nd Customer Review : Beam-Electrolux Finaly gets it rights!
This attachment is what you've wanted....A powered brush for stairs and other small spaces with a head the turns 180 degrees to do the carpeted riser portions of your steps. While not quite a robust as the "Lux" stairbrush for the spinnoff company Aerus Electrolux, this unit is more flexible and cost conscious. You will like this addition to your central vacuum system.
3rd Customer Review : Nearly perfect
I bought this hoping it would work with the "Electrolux Ultra Silencer Deep Clean Canister Vacuum". It does and it works great. I like the fact you can flip the head around when cleaning stairs. My only complaint is that if you press just a little it can prevent the brushes from spinning. Picks up dirt well though when not pressing too hard.
